The present house, built by Abraham Brigg in 1633, retains many period features; splendid mullioned windows, oak panelling, wig cupboards and, above the central gable, the stone Maltese cross of the chivalric Order of St John of Jerusalem, old rivals of the Knights Templar. There a many hidden delights such as the romantic listed Gazebo and the pretty walled courtyard.
This fairytale Manor House Hotel with its enchanting secluded gardens, elegant oak panelled rooms, open log fires and award winning food is an idyllic venue for romantic wedding celebrations from 10 to 120 guests. We can host every part of your special day from the ceremony and wedding breakfast to the evening reception, be it a small and intimate or a lavish, grand affair. There are 38 individually designed and decorated bedrooms including several suites, family rooms and canopied beds. Your guests will benefit from a specially reduced rate to include overnight accommodation, continental breakfast and VAT.
