Weddings at Haughley Park Barn, Stowmarket

Barn hire includes the use of the spacious lawns close to the barn and the garden area around the large pond. A grass car park for up to 100 cars is located to the right of these lawns behind a tall hedge. There is turning space for coaches behind the barn and adequate hard standing for winter parking of up to 50 cars, more if supervised.
The Barn is surrounded by tall trees, and beautiful well tended gardens. There is an excellent choice of photo opportunities at Haughley Park, to suit all styles of photography and personal tastes. Bride, Groom and photographer may also use certain locations outside the hire-area, nearer to Haughley Park House and in the private house gardens.

Haughley Park Barn is licensed as a civil marriage venue, making it possible for couples to hold their wedding ceremony as well as the reception at the barn.
The Barn makes an excellent setting for weddings and receptions of between 50 and 120 guests. We provide the space, heat, light and existing equipment and you organise the rest to get the kind of celebration you want.

The Crooked Barn, an 18th century thatched barn can seat up to 80 guests for a formal Wedding Breakfast and up to 120 guests for an evening function.

We offer a varied Wedding Breakfast menu for you to choose from and an extensive wine list. We have been awarded two AA Rosettes for cuisine for three consecutive years.

We have three venues available for a civil ceremony, The Garden Suite, The Hawthorn Suite and The Crooked Barn.

The hotel offers 19 bedrooms, including 8 executive garden and farmhouse rooms we are happy to offer a discounted tariff for guests wishing to stay for more than one night. We were awarded East of England’s “Small Hotel of the Year” by the tourist board in 2004/5.

“The Oak Suite” our Honeymoon Suite – first floor bedroom with antique canopied bed and luxury bathroom with spa bath. The Barn
-Our 16th Century Barn has been beautifully converted for civil ceremonies, wedding receptions, parties, dances and corporate events .

-The Barn can comfortably seat 40-150 guests.

-Full bar facilities allow you to either have a pay-bar or you are welcome to bring in your own drink at no extra charge.
-A P.A system linked to a cordless microphone and 6-cd player is available.
-Large dance area with plenty of room to dance the night away to the band or disco of your choice.
-Both Barn and Marquee are heated to ensure that an ambient temperature is maintained for your event.

The Marquee

-Our silk-lined 800 sq ft Marquee holding up to 150 guests is an ideal reception area for drinks and canapés.
-The Marquee stands within a sheltered courtyard and is perfect for barbeques and hog roasts for the more informal event.
