Weddings at Bix Manor, Henley-On-Thames

Since 1986 when the Hall’s first moved into Bix Manor they have shared their hospitable home with many local families, personalities and businesses.

The 17th Century Great Tithe, brick and flint farm buildings and the six-acre gardens have created a unique hospitality and business and training facility.

The Great Tithe has an enormous open fireplace and is as welcoming and hospitable in winter as it is cool and charming in summer.

Wedding Receptions and private functions may be hosted at Bix Manor and there is room to erect a beautifully lined traditional marquee in the garden; on occasions, it may be possible to use the Great Tithe. As we are not licensed, we are happy for the host to provide his own alcoholic refreshments – there is no corkage charge.
Bix Manor takes only one function on any one day, and a deposit of £1500 is requested to confirm your reservation, so long as we can re-let the date.

Gary Hall will advise you about how to make your special function a memorable occasion for you and all the guests. He will help you choose a perfect menu and will be there to guide you through the day of the event and make you feel welcome in our home.

Our extensive kitchen garden and orchard provides produce most of the year round for the table, bread is home baked and our fish and meat are simply the best that we can find.
Our experienced staff are always on hand to discuss your menu and you may choose between having a set menu consisting of one starter, one main and one dessert with a vegetarian option if required or guests may appreciate a choice of dishes.

All rooms have power showers, most have Jacuzzis, some have four-poster beds and antique furniture. The luxury king-size beds are splittable if you do need a twin bedded room. All have televisions, free wireless internet access and ensuite bathrooms. A laundry and ironing service is available.

Great Milton lies approximately eight miles South East of Oxford, in a fold of low hills overlooking the rich water meadows of the Thames Valley. The Oxfordshire Registration Service carry out the afternoon ceremonies at Lains Barn for which they make a separate charge.
