Elderton Lodge nestles into its own six acres of naturally wooded grounds, beautifully aspected over looking on to 800 acres of Deer park. The 200 year old building, formally the shooting lodge to Gunton Hall is lovingly preserved by its local owners and run as a Country House Hotel offering 11 individual bedrooms and a delightful restaurant. The rooms have full modern facilities, while the restaurant offers high quality local produce.

We are a privately owned and managed Country House Hotel, situated along our own private driveway. The hotel overlooks the famous Gunton Deer Park, which is a designated conservation area and one which boasts many historical and Royal connections. Surrounded by over six acres of mature gardens and woodland we enjoy a beautiful setting offering tranquility and relaxation – a perfect location for your special wedding venue and ideal for those romantic photographic opportunities.

We have eleven individually and tastefully appointed en suite bedrooms, including two ground floor rooms (2 twin and 9 double bedded), some with spectacular views across the hundreds of acres of parkland. Our public rooms include the lounge and bar, with their views across Gunton Park, exuding an ambience of warmth and friendliness. The Langtry Restaurant offers excellent cuisine to the highest standards. You will find a comprehensive selection of menus in this section for your perusal.
We have been awarded a Three Star classification from the English Tourist Board. We have an AA Three Star rating with two Rosettes for the quality of our food.

With only one wedding a day we can guarantee that you and your guests will receive first class service and our full attention to ensure that yours is truly a day to remember. Our Executive Chef is always on hand to discuss menus ideas and offer advice, coupled with an experienced wedding planner we can ensure the arrangements of your special day will run as smoothly as the day itself.

All of the beautifully furnished function rooms have direct access to the gardens so your guests will be able to enjoy drinks and canapés on the lawns surrounding the hotel during the warmer months. During those winter months guests can take coffee and liquors around the original working fireplaces which adorn our function rooms and lounge area. In addition to exclusive wedding use of the function rooms and Marquee* we are also delighted to confirm that we provide the Bride and Groom with a complimentary Four-Poster Suite with luxury Jacuzzi bathroom for the night of the wedding. Civil Ceremonies
Caistor Hall is licensed for civil weddings and can comfortably accommodate up to 100 seated guests in Palm Court or up to 40 in the Garden Room for a wedding ceremony. There is no additional charge for having your ceremony with us although a registration fee is payable direct to the registrar. You can contact Norwich Registrars on 01603 767600 to make a provisional booking.

Civil Partnerships
The Civil partnerships Act 2004 came into operation on 5th December 2005 and enables a same sex couple to register as civil partners of each other. Caistor Hall Hotel are licensed for civil partnerships and are pleased to offer wedding receptions for same sex couples in a gay friendly environment. We can cater for all your needs and can organise your special day from start to finish. With a personalised, tailored service provide the perfect reception package. The Sunningdale Suite is ideal for grand weddings of 200 guests. This stunning reception room is on the first floor of the hotel with a large balcony overlooking the grounds.

The Eaton Suite hosts up to 90 guests and is perfect for a very English wedding banquet, with its impressive beamed ceiling.

The Marquee, pitched in the gardens from April to September, captures the essence of a beautiful English country wedding. It has all the facilities of the Suites in the hotel, with dance floor, private bar and PA, lighting and disco equipment.
