Tameside’s prestigious venues offer the ideal locations for multi cultural weddings and receptions. The splendid range of venues offers you and your family unforgettable locations to host a variety of events including Hindu, Muslim and Sikh weddings and celebrations. The rooms vary in size seating from 100 guests and up to 400.
The hire of the venue which where appropriate would be for two functions rooms (i.e. The Ballroom and Medlock Suite at Ashton Town Hall, the Jubilee Hall and Lesser Halls at Dukinfield Town Hall, the Ballroom and Newton Suite at Hyde Town Hall and finally the George Lawton Hall and the Geoffrey Brierley Suite at the George Lawton Hall) given consideration and the experience of the events and the knowledge within the venues across the borough.

The above venues may be able to offer additional rooms to meet your needs which can be used for a variety of activities such as waiting areas and changing rooms at a cost of £100.00

To the bride and bridegroom their wedding day is something special. To all of us at the Calf’s Head it is also something special. That is why we treat every wedding as a unique occasion tailored to the stars of the day.

Where appropriate we start with the wedding ceremony or the arrival from the church and only finish when the day is done, the guests departed and the bride and bridegroom retired to their complimentary bedroom for the night or what’s left of it!

We have lots of options for you to consider in order that your day can be as you want it. We believe in flexibility. So you tell us what you want and where you want it and we will do our very best to see it happens.

Civil Marriage Ceremony
If the marriage ceremony is not taking place in a church then there are three areas licensed for a civil ceremony, the Glass House, the Function Room and now the Gazebo in the garden. The latter is restricted to summer months and weather permitting. This provides the option for ceremony and reception to be sited to suit numbers and choice of aspect. It is not surprising that the backdrop of Pendle and the large gardens prove so popular for the special moment of the marriage vows. The charge for this facility is £175 on Saturdays and £120 on weekdays.

Civil Partnerships
We are licensed for all civil partnerships and can offer the same options as those offered for a marriage ceremony.
Reception
You may want your guests to have an arrival or post ceremony drink. This can be taken inside or weather permitting in the garden where the photographers have a field day with so many backdrops to choose from. The stream running through the grounds adds to the romance of the occasion.

Having started to get into the celebration mood it is time for the reception meal. The choice is wide open to suit your tastes and your budget. We can help you put together a menu or you may prefer the idea of a carvery. We will provide you with menu item suggestions to suit your taste and budget. Remember, our chefs are here to give you what you want.
