Our Georgian Manor House boasts three stylish reception rooms, leading to our Pavilion and Banqueting Hall. For smaller more intimate Weddings the elegant Drawing Room is licensed for up to 40 guests or you have the choice to exchange your vows in the beautiful Pavilion for 40-300 guests.

The Reception that follows can be held in our Pavilion or Banqueting Hall seating up to 400 guests in comfort but can be easily arranged to host much smaller parties without the loss of intimacy which is so important for a successful day. We pride ourselves in our reputation for food and attentive service, however specialist celebrations requiring outside caterers for cultural or religious beliefs are welcome.

Weddings at Vaulty Manor, Colchester

Vaulty Manor is a beautiful 16th Century Manor House with a renovated 17th Century Essex Barn and a new spectacularly beautiful Baronial Hall. Chigwell Hall

Chigwell Hall is in fact set in its own 42 acres of lush grounds, lawns and woodland in abundance, surrounded by beautiful countryside, and spectacular views over London.

It is easily reached by both public and private transport. Situated on the High Road, Chigwell, just south of the junction with Roding Lane, and opposite the Kings Head Public House, which is supposedly ‘The Maypole’ as immortalised in Charles Dickens, ‘Barnaby Rudge’.

Set in picturesque rural Essex, Gosfield Hall is a stunning Georgian manor house offered exclusively to you for your wedding day. Formerly a Royal residence, the Queen Charlotte’s Oak panelled gallery with a 120 ft long aisle is perfect for wedding ceremonies and the newly licensed carriageway is the perfect location for outdoor ceremonies on sunny days.

The Marquis of Buckingham’s former ballroom provides an exquisite setting for the reception meal for up to 116 guests and there are also several grand and ornate reception rooms for you and your guests to enjoy. As we offer exclusive use of the entire house you can also invite up to 250 guests for the evening reception and party.

There are also 21 newly refurbished bedroom suites offered to you exclusively for your wedding night providing the perfect end to your special day at Gosfield Hall.

Weddings at Essex Country Hotel, Southend-On-Sea

The Essex County Hotel has many opportunities for those special and memorable photographs of your “day to remember”. From the Mediterranean frontage with its fountain, to the fireplace and wooden staircase in the Lounge and the gardens to the rear the atmosphere is tranquil, relaxing and calming.
The Essex County Hotel is licensed for civil ceremonies in both the Ashingdon and Burnham Suites. The Ashingdon Suite will take up to 70 and the Burnham Suite will take up to 200 for a ceremony.
There are a wide variety of menus and drinks packages, for children as well as the adults, to suit all tastes.
Wedding guests get discounted accommodation on all of the bedrooms. The wedding package also includes a standard room for the bride and groom. Why not upgrade to one of our executive or four poster rooms?
The Ashingdon Suite is situated on the ground floor and has recently been redecorated and now has a bright and welcoming atmosphere. It is possible to seat up to 70 for a wedding breakfast which can either be a sit down meal or hot and cold buffet. Reception drinks can either be located inside or outside The Ashingdon Suite, which has its own bar facilities and adjacent toilets.
The Burnham Suite has recently been refurbished and now has a wireless PA system. There can be up to 200 people for a wedding ceremony and up to 110 for a wedding breakfast be it a sit down meal or a hot and cold buffet. The Burnham Suite has its main entrance from the Hotel Reception and therefore has easy access from all areas of the Hotel. There is a hot and cold servery, behind a curtain, within the function suite which can be used for any buffets.
The Grand Marquee which can accommodate up to 300 people for a sit down meal or hot and cold buffet is the ideal setting for a wedding breakfast. The Grand Marquee has a stage, dance floor, its own bar and toilet facilities and, weather permitting, a gazebo is available for reception drinks.

An accomplished toastmaster is available, to help the proceedings go smoothly, and is included in the menu price if you reach the minimum numbers and have a full sit down meal. Please note that two children will equal one adult in calculating your numbers.

When the meal has been completed, we quickly prepare the room for the evening entertainment, while it is vacated. We can provide a discotheque or live music. There is an ample dance floor in all function suites and dancing can continue until 12.30am. We can serve a variety of attractive buffet options during the evening including our delicious specialty fish tables.
