Set just outside Marlow in the beautiful Buckinghamshire countryside, Bisham Abbey National Sports Centre is situated on the banks of the river Thames. A twelfth century Abbey, that was once home to Henry VIII, is a unique, intimate and romantic venue providing the perfect backdrop for any occasion. Our prestigious Abbey and grounds ensure that the wedding photography can provide the most beautiful and dramatic wedding pictures.
An inspiring historic building, Bisham Abbey dates from 1260, it retains the dignity and atmosphere of the past uniting traditional style with contemporary amenities.
The Great Hall, delightful for your wedding breakfast has a 100ft high vaulted ceiling with a minstrel’s gallery. The Warwick Room is a dark oak paneled room with a wooden floor, ideal for the more intimate meal, disco or band. The Margaret Dickinson Bar, Lounge and patio and the adjoining Sonning Room informally allows guests to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings of this exceptional venue.

Bisham Abbey is a really lovely historical venue if you are looking for a beautiful location on the river thames.
I am getting married there next year and I know 2 other people that have got married here already and said it was an amazing day.
The staff have been amazing, I had to postpone my wedding due to an unexpected operation and they were fantastic about this.
If you like an old historic feel to your wedding go and visit this venue.
